I would like to take you through a brief history of my ten years of service.

My involvement with elected officials began shortly after I purchased my home and became President of my Homeowners Association.  A neighboring subdivision became uninhabitable, therefore, I worked tirelessly with the assistance of our County Commissioner to have this subdivision condemned and later demolished for the betterment of the community.  The Commissioner then put me in contact with my State Senator.   After regularly attending her District Office meetings, the State Senator asked me to join her team.  Serving as her Chief of Staff for several years required me to represent, present and facilitate various meetings and committees.  Travel around the state, to other states and other countries helped me understand statewide issues and the importance of foreign partnerships.

My next venture would be as a South Fulton Ambassador.   This position allowed me to work closely with various Legislators, Elected Officials, Law Enforcement, Community members, in addition to representing South Fulton.

Shortly after becoming a member of South Fulton United I was elected to the position of Vice Chair and then as the Chair of South Fulton United.  This organization supports legislation for over 100,000 community members to have the right to vote for incorporation.   Working diligently with Representatives Roger Bruce, Virgil Fludd, Ronnie Mabra and LaDawn Blackett-Jones and other State Legislators we educated community members regarding such incorporation.  I was either the facilitator or participant in over 100 of those presentations.

Understanding the importance of our democratic process I became a Post Seat Holder which led to me running to serve as a State Committee member of the Democratic Party which I still currently hold.  As I serve on the Fulton County 2035 Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee in assisting with the future of Fulton County, I will consider the affect this plan will have on Clayton and Fayette County.

After working with Legislators for approximately (6) six years and working for approximately (10) ten years in the community I am prepared and ready to serve as your State Legislator.
